History of the School
Founding Fore-fathers…………………..
Our beloved founder achieved an extra-ordinary word “INCREDIBLE”.
Vellore Vallal N.Krishnaswamy Mudaliar started his career only by his humble beginnings. He was made of the goodwill and stuff what mythologists are made of and achieved in his lifetime what many of us cannot even dream.
“What I was not destined to enjoy in my youth should be enjoyed by everyone” was the anthem of life of Sri.N.Krishnaswamy Mudaliar.
Our beloved founder was born in a village Dhoddipalli near Chittoor. He was the second son of Sri.C.Narasimma Mudaliar, who worked as a railway porter. His early childhood days were full of misery and struggles. He was indeed a self-made personality by his diligence, dedication and determination. Though God granted him wealth in plenty he was not gifted with a child, he loved all children and was in turn loved by them.
This great philanthropist established Sri.N.Krishnaswamy Mudaliar Charitable Trust in 1960. He established Sri.N.Krishnaswamy Mudaliar High School in 1961. The foundation stone for the building was laid by Thiru.K.Kamaraj , the then Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu and the school was declared open by the then Chief Minister Thiru.C.N.Annadurai, the great stalwarts of the yester years, in a befitting manner.
In the year 1969, he constructed Dhanabagyam Krishnaswamy Mudaliar Thirumana Koodam. Another land mark achievement was the opening of Dhanabagyam Krishnaswamy Mudaliar College for Women (Autonomous) at Sainathapuram in 1972. It was declared open by the Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu Dr.Kalainzar M.Karunanidhi. Our founder involved himself in work of charity all through his life.
Vallal contributed a permanent building to the Middle School at his native place Dhoddipalli which was inaugurated by the former Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh Sri.Sanjeeva Reddy under the Presidentship of Sri.M.Bakthavachalam the Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu on 19-12-1963.
His death on 08-03-1980 came as a bolt from the blue. The whole town mourned his death. Though this town does not enjoy his immortal presence his name has attained immortality. He is fondly called as Vellore Vallal by one and all.
The legacy of our Founder was continued by his younger brother Sri.N.Thangavelu Mudaliar who started a CBSE school during 1985 in memory of Sri.N.KrishnaswamyMudaliar.
To commemorate the commendable services done by the late founder for the cause of education, Vellore VallalN.Krishnaswamy Mudaliar School based on the Central Board of Secondary Education pattern was established in the year 1985 by his younger brother and the then managing trustee of the V.N.K.M Trust Late.Sri.N.Thangavelu Mudaliar who departed us on 20-02-1989.The V.V.N.K.M. School incepted in 1985 was recognized by and affiliated to the Central Board of Secondary Education, New Delhi, in June 1988.
Sri N.Thangavelu Mudaliar by his selfless service had been instrumental for the development of our school which has grown in leaps and bounds.
The selfless service of our Fore-runners -Sri.N.Krishnaswamy Mudaliar and his brother Sri.N.Thangavelu Mudaliar was continued under the able stewardship of the latter’s elder son Sri.T.Paranthaman. He was a dynamic person and during his tenure the Computer Science Laboratory was established in a full-fledged manner simultaneously with the related upgradation of technology. He had a great vision and fulfilled his mission and departed us on 01-02-1994.
After the sad demise of Sri.T.Paranthaman, a dynamic, energetic, charismatic personality took charge of the CBSE school, and that is none other than Dr.T.Sivakumar,M.A., the Current Correspondent since 1994, the younger son of Sri.N.Thangavelu Mudaliar. Under his able guidance the school has witnessed a steady growth and development in all spheres and is producing 100% result in the All India Secondary School Examination (AISSE) conducted by the CBSE for the X Students continuously for the past 38 years. Our institution was upgraded as a Senior Secondary School during the Silver Jubilee Year 2010. (1985 – 2010).
