Soori Veera Silamba Kalaikoodam V.S.B.Silambam and Sports Academy conducted the Silambam Championship 2023-2024 for Mini Sub Junior, organized by Nehru Yuva Kendra, on the 7th of May 2023 at NETHAJI POLICE TRAINING GROUND in Vellore. Our school student, S.RITHIK from II grade had participated in the ‘below 6’ age category and secured the first place, winning a shield,
medals, and certificates.
The CM Trophy 2023, a state-level tournament was conducted by the Sports Development Authority of Tamil Nadu on 09.02.23 at VIT, Vellore. Our school students have participated in Silambam competition and won medal and certificate. S.Bharani – XII A Gold medal, M.S.Manikandan XII C Bronze medal.

The championship took place at the Green Hills Stadium in Kodaikanal, Dindigul on July 29th, 2023.Our School Student, S. During the National Reading Day celebrations, which took place from June 19 to July 18, various competitions were held for students from classes 1 to 5. These competitions included drawing, story-telling, and recitation. Students participated enthusiastically, showcasing their talents and love for reading. The Principal of the school appreciated the efforts put in by the students and recognized their achievements during an awards ceremony. The prize winners were honored for their exceptional performance in the competitions. The Principal encouraged the students to continue their reading habit and explore the wonderful world of literature. The Bureau of Indian Standards’ writing competitions have provided a platform for our students to showcase their talents and potential. The support and recognition from the school have further fueled their passion for writing and have encouraged them to continue their literary journeys with greater zeal. Their dedication to staying informed and their genuine interest in current affairs were evident throughout the event. That’s incredible! R S.Sudharsanraj’s (III Standard) achievement of presenting 48 yoga poses within 8 minutes and 50 seconds is truly commendable. Taking part in a mass world record event like Yogathon 2023 on International Yoga Day showcases the importance of physical and mental well-being. It’s great to see young individuals like him emphasizing the idea that health is indeed wealth.

The State Level Silambam Championship 2023, organized by Kallaikodam Sports Development Trust, was held at New Power Matric Hr Sec School in Sankararpuram on August 13, 2023. Two participants, B. Priyadharshini of Class 6 and B. Manoj Kumar of Class 9, took part in the competition. They showcased their skills and abilities in Silambam and emerged as the champions, winning the first place. As a recognition of their remarkable performance, they were awarded medals and certificates.

Department of Mathematics at our school conducted a competition on Tables Recitation and Model Making for students from classes 1 to 8. The aim of this competition was to enhance students’ mathematical skills, promote teamwork, and encourage creative thinking.
The competition saw active participation from students across all grade levels. They put in their best efforts to showcase their knowledge of multiplication tables through recitation. Students demonstrated their ability to quickly and accurately recall multiplication facts, showcasing their dedication and hard work in mastering this fundamental aspect of mathematics.
The winners were selected from each grade level. The prizes were awarded by our respected principal, who commended the efforts of the students and encouraged them to continue their mathematical journey with enthusiasm and perseverance.

We are indeed proud to have conducted the Bharathanatiyam dance to honor our Indian soldiers and Tamilnadu police. It was a memorable event held at Nethaji Stadium, Vellore on August 27, 2023. The large number of students who participated made it even more special.
We are thrilled to announce that A. Heyvarthana from Grade 7, R. J. Riya, and K. Lakshana from Grade 8 have received the prestigious Nritya Kalaimani Award for their outstanding contribution as performers in the Indian world record. These young talents have showcased their skills and dedication in the field of dance, and it’s wonderful to see them being recognized for their achievements.
Western Dance
That’s incredible! It’s amazing to hear that Universal Achievers Book of Records conducted a Mass world record event to showcase unique talents. Congratulations to A. Sai Adithya from Grade 1 for participating in the western dance category and receiving recognition for their performance.

During the festive season of Onam. The Floral competition was aimed at celebrating the vibrant and colourful traditions associated with Onam.

They showcased their skills in creating stunning and intricate floral arrangements, incorporating traditional elements and themes related to Onam. The students displayed a deep understanding of the significance and symbolism of various flowers used during the festival.

The Chandrayaan 3 Maha Quiz was conducted with great enthusiasm, and the students actively participated in the event. The quiz was organized to commemorate the achievements of the Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO) and the Chandrayaan 2 mission.
Among the participants, two students stood out for their exceptional knowledge and performance in the quiz. R.Dhanvant from grade 4 and P.Sai Sukesh from grade 7 emerged as the winners of the quiz. Their enthusiasm, dedication, and extensive preparation were evident throughout the competition.
As a reward for their exemplary performance, Dhanvant and Sai Sukesh were presented with certificates.
That’s great to hear! Conducting a Rhymes competition for students from classes 1 to 5 is a wonderful initiative to encourage and promote good speaking skills in Hindi. It’s commendable that a significant number of students participated in the competition.

World Star had conducted Nagapattinam silambam, most number of human beings rotating sticks with BLIND FOLDED EYES/TIED LEGS for 10800 seconds on 01st October 2023 at Nagapattinam. Our school 17 student participated and won medals, Trophy and a World Record certificate. Keep up the great work!

Pagalavan, a student of Class 2, recently participated in the JACKHI BOOK OF WORLD RECORDS, THIRAMAI THIRUVIZHA (Talent Marathon 2023). The event aimed to showcase his unique talent in the art of SILMABAM.
SILMABAM is a traditional martial art form originating from Tamil Nadu, India. It involves the use of long sticks as weapons, emphasizing quick movements, agility, and concentration. Pagalavan, at such a young age, has shown exceptional skills in this art form.
The event coincided with the commemoration of India’s 76th Independence Day, adding greater significance to Pagalavan’s participation. He symbolized the spirit of freedom and excellence that India cherishes.
It was a great initiative taken by the Department of Science to organize a Paper Bag competition for students of Classes 3 to 9 and 11. The aim of this competition was to encourage students to make use of eco-friendly materials and promote the concept of “Reduce, Reuse, and Recycle.”
The participants worked diligently to come up with innovative and attractive paper bags using a variety of materials. They used old newspapers, magazines, and color papers to construct their bags. The designs were unique and eye-catching, ranging from floral prints to quirky patterns.
The Principal congratulated the winners and appreciated their efforts in creating eco-friendly paper bags.
Overall, the Paper Bag competition was a great success, and it helped instill a sense of responsibility towards the environment among the participating students. It was indeed a wonderful initiative to nurture creativity and promote sustainability among the young minds!
Thiruvalluvar Academy recently organized a Hindi Handwriting competition for students from Classes 1 to 9 and 11. The event aimed to promote the importance of good handwriting and encourage students to enhance their Hindi writing skills.

At the end of the competition, the top three performers in each class were awarded medals and certificates for their exceptional handwriting. The Aesthetic Club of our school recently organized a drawing competition with the theme “Save Environment” for students from classes 6 to 8. The aim of the competition was to create awareness about the importance of preserving our environment and to encourage the students to express their thoughts and creativity through art.
