KIDS FUN ZONE:

VVNKM revival party of joyful learning was held on 14^th June 2019. Our guiding stars, the parents and the teachers and the rising stars, the kids were the Guests of the day. We have stepped towards new beginning in the direction of dreams.

 

Founder’s day:

108th birth anniversary of our founder Sri N. Krishnasamy Mudaliar was celebrated on the 25^th June 2019. Rtn. PP. A.R. Ramesh Babu was the Chief Guest of the day. The school toppers of AISSE & AISSCE and the staff were honored with cash prize.

International Yoga day:

International yoga day was celebrated on 21^st June 2019 which helps a person to get mental peace. Rtn. R.K. Saravanan was the guest of the day. Mass yoga was done by VI to XII students.

Independence Day & sports day:

73^rd Independence Day & 35^th annual sports day was celebrated on 15/08/2019. Rtn. PHF. PDG. Asoka Nagappan was the chief guest of the day. Marutham team bagged the shield for the best performance in March past. Overall championship award was bagged by Neithal team.

Teacher’s Day: This special occasion was celebrated on 5^th September with great reverence, zeal and enthusiasm.

Childrens’ day: A day of innocence, playfulness and freedom was celebrated on November 14, 2019.

Transcending the shadow lines of caste, culture and religion, we have celebrated ONAM / CHRISTMAS / PONGAL / DIWALI with great fervor and enthusiasm. VVNKM celebrates all National, regional and seasonal festivals.

Investiture ceremony:

The much-awaited event of the year, the INVESTITURE CEREMONY was held on 15^th July 2019. Dr. C.S. Jacob Prasanna Stephen, Associate Professor of Physics was the Chief guest of the day.

 

INTERACT CLUB:

Interact club President – Master P. Gokulnath, XI

Interact club Secretary – Miss Harshavarshini, XI

& 11 office bearers took oath during installation function on 18^th July 2019.

Road Safety Awareness, Dental Camp, Keep yourself Clean, Water conservation, TB Awareness, Go Green Project are some of the projects, our Interact members conducted in association with our school.

 

Our students took part in various Competitions and brought laudable laurels to the school.

Olympiad:

• English: 59 students have participated.
• Tamil: 58 students have participated.
• Hindi: 39 students have participated.
• Maths: 70 students have participated.
• Science: 142 students have participated
• Informatics: 34 students have participated.

• Hope talent examination: 133 students had participated
• Osho communication drawing competition: 332 students had participated
• ELA SPELL BEE: 116 students had participated. Nearly 100 of them were qualified for the next level [state level
• World record – Bharatanatyam 15/8/2019 @ VIT – 24 had participated and received certificates.
• World record drawing competition: 80 students have participated.
• Veetukoru Vingyani – Puthiya Thalaimurai District level Science exhibition was held at Narayani Vidhyalaya, Sripuram. Models were exhibited by our school children and were highly appreciated by the officials.
• Face of future – Phase I of State level Quiz competition was conducted by Venper academy at our school premises and 2 teams were eligible for district level competition.
• 15 students from XII Commerce stream had participated in COMFEST @ VIT and won prizes and certificates.
• Inter school competition was held at The Path Global School, Tiruvannamalai – 56 students had participated and bagged prizes and certificates.
• Shriram chits – Thirukkural recitation – A. Keerthana – II prize

• Intramural sports meet was held on 29^th July 2019. Mr. A. Siva Kumar, District Secretary, Bharat Scout & Guide, Vellore was the chief guest.
• State level sports tournament @ Tulip International school. 196 students had participated and won medals & certificates.

• Inter CBSE sports tournament – comprising of 23 schools with 1523 participants was successfully organized by V.V.N.K.M on 23^rd November 2019.
  • M. Thirunavukkarasu, Syndicate member, Tamilnadu Physical Education & Sports university, Vice president of Mallakamb association and Mr. S. Silambu chelvan, Chief financial officer, Masterjee academy were the guests for the inaugural ceremony

• Rajapuraskar award:
• 12 Scouts & 10 guides had attended Rajapuraskar award camp
• After 22 years, 10^th Scout & guide camporee was held at AM Jain College, Chennai from 27/8/19 to 31/8/19 and 7 scouts from our school had attended. Master L.S. Sushil Srinivas & Master V.N. Yogeswaran Had got an opportunity to give guard of honor for former ISRO chief Dr. Mayilsamy Annadurai & Mr. Sylendra Babu, IPS
• Master Sushil Srinivas & Miss. Nishalini, the representatives of Scout & Guide received prestigious Rajapuraskar award from the hands of His Excellency Shri Panwarilal Prohith, Governor of Tamilnadu on 26/10/19 @ Raj Bhavan accompanied by Scout master Mr.Shanthakumar.
• NCC: CATC – Combined annual training camp @ Rajagopal polytechnic 21/11/2019 to 30/11/2019.

Competitions like poem recitation, Vocal & Instrumental, Spell & tell, Art, Maths quiz, Grammar game, Language theatre, Junior scientist, Film festival were conducted. From TVSSC schools, 800 students had participated. Winners of our school and other schools were awarded with books and certificates.

SCHOOL CLUBS

We had inaugurated THE club [Tamil, Hindi, English], SMS club [Science, Maths, Social], VCC club [Vallal Cyber Crew], Health & AE club.

This year we have introduced clubs for Primary level reading club, Health & hygiene along with Art and craft, Social service, language, Eco and Literary club for Middle class level.

Regular inter house Activities and Extracurricular activities like chess, carom, karate, skating, music are being are held in which the students participate and display their caliber.

Medical Camp:

From 4/9/19 to 6/9/19, an Eye camp was conducted by the Doctors of AGARWAL EYE HOSPITAL for the students of class UKG to XII and a Dental camp was conducted by the team of INDIAN Dental Association for the students of classes LKG to XII.

 

REPORT ON KIDS ZONE:

Morning circle time: At the beginning of the day, Circle Time is planned to develop positive relationships between children. It also helps children work on five key skills, without which Circle Time doesn’t work: thinking, listening, looking, speaking and concentrating.

 

Assembly activities:

Morning assembly is one of the several important practices in our culture. Theme Talk, Thirukkural, Vocabulary, Students Activities etc., are given top priority.

 

Music hours: Young children’s attention spans are shorter and their physique just wants to move. So we make sure to provide music and movement activities.

EPL [Essential Practical Life]: It’s absolutely important for children to learn more than just academically. It includes personal care, environment care and grace and courtesy exercises, which effectively covers most areas of personal life as well as the world around us.

 

Outing and Movie time:

• Children were very happy and excited to go for the outing.
• Children enthusiastically explore the park and bounties of nature. The nature walk helped them to observe different types of plants all around them. It motivated the students to take care of their environment and to maintain cleanliness around them.
• Children had a wonderful experience every weekend by visiting the new places and watching the cartoon movies.

 

Puppet show: Every Fridays, teachers do the puppet show with different topics.

Good Bye circle time: During the goodbye circle time, the teachers recall the entire day sessions to the children.

Weekly compliments: Compliments charm others and increase our circle of influence. Children feel very happy to get the compliment on every Friday

 

Celebrations:

Earth day: On 12^th July 2019 EARTH DAY was celebrated. Saplings were planted by students on that day.

 

Clown day: On Saturday, 31st August 2019 we celebrated “clown day”.

 

Health and hygiene day camp: On 4th and 6^thSeptember we celebrated “Health and Hygiene” day. Eye and dental Camp was held.

 

Professional day: Celebrated on 4th October 2019.

Chef Day / Share & care / KALAM 2020: Celebrated on 10^th January 2020

Yoga day: Celebrated on 19^th December 2019 for classes LKG to V.
